Do you care about the existing housing stock in Springfield? Do you support mothballing as an intervention to protect our homes? Then you are needed.
October 4, 2011
Council Chambers - City of Jax
5 p.m.
LUZ Meeting
The is the LUZ meeting that will hear Councilmember Schellenberg's Sunset Clause which he drafted and introduced to END mothballing (before it has even started!) 3 years from now. This meeting is more important than the actual Council Meeting which will take place mid-October. Jennifer Mansfield, one of the HPC Commissioners, will be there to speak against the Sunset Clause. Springfield needs to be there in full force to also speak AGAINST the Sunset Clause.
Here is what is needed:
YOU.
In a Springfield shirt (any organization or cause works.)
Arm and arm with your neighbors.
Saying "NO" with your eyes and body language.
Or saying "NO" with your voice.
Thanks for your continued support.
Reminder:
LUZ meeting, Council Chambers
Tuesday, 5 p.m.
Say "NO" to Councilmember Schellenberg's Sunset Clause to put mothballing to rest after 3 years (2014)
I have 10 folks who committed to a butt in a chair.
Hope you are still able to attend.
Thanks for your support.
Save the Houses!
I'm not a springfielder, but this thread gets the "Best Title Ever" award.
My butt has RSVPed and I'll be there. Spoke last week with Gloria and if needed my butt will get up and talk again.
SP, we have a standing date on Tuesday nights!
Its sort of like being at a sports bar, what with the big TV and all -- only no booze or chicken wings. Some gizzards though.
Thanks Bucket. Sheclown inspired me. LOL.
Chicken, thanks for your continued support.
My butt will be there in spirit.
Be a butt in a chair tomorrow night.
Trust me, all butts welcome that support preservation.
Big, round, jiggly, even skinny ones. . . .well you get the picture.
See you at:
