I have driven and traveled in far worse weather than this, but thank you for reminding me us Floridian's do not move in storms.

For those of us that are not familiar with the weekly meetings; when & where are they usually?  I'd love to get involved.  Thanks.

All approaches to the San Marco Pizza Palace are very probably underwater right now.  My meter says our rate has been close to 3" per hour at the height of the storm.

If you are going to meet at 7:00 it may have gone down by them and the streets passable.

When I was a kid living in San Marco in the early '50's, my friends and I would hang out at that corner in San Marco where the Firehouse Sub place is.  It was a Gulf Oil filling station then.  When we had a rain like this we would wait for someone to try to drive through the water, flood out (flat head engines in that day) and for $5.00 we would push them up into the station to get dried out and wait for the water to go down.

Really good money for a bunch of kids at the time.  People would never learn not to drive down San Marco Blvd when it was flooded in a rainstorm like today's.

Meetings are currently held at the San Marco Pizza Palace on Tuesday nights.  People are there from about 6:30-9.  The meeting size can vary from 3 to 11 people.  They can be a lot of fun.  Depending on who is there, you can also learn a ton about the city past and present.

I am on my way to another event, but I will post how Pizza Palace is looking when I drive by it. I stay in San Marco and I am currently not flooded and the weather is not that bad to me.

I don't think many people, if any will be showing up tonight.  A few guys have to work.  I can't stay long tonight but I plan on driving by in 30 minutes or so to confirm.

Thought we flipped the meeting locations? Tuesdays at Carmines? This was due to noise issues.

Well, you know Stephen is the kiss of death.

As soon as he starts to like a restaurant, it will immediately start up blaring trivia and/or karaoke. It's a rule.

Me, Ennis, Raj and Tyler ( I may be wrong on the name) talked a good deal last night.
