I hate to say it, but I remember those old black phones and the change over.  We went from a 5-#### to ELgin 5-####, then to 355-####.  The business still has the same number all these years later.

Great find, Lunican!

I want one of those giant dials and a personal number booklet free from my phone company.

Not entirely off topic, but, the ladies of "Please hang up and try your call again"

Jane Barbe is a Florida native (according to imdb and wikipedia, though wikipedia also says born in GA) - does anyone know where in Florida she's from?

It's possible she's from Jax, think how booming Jax was in 1928:)
