Title: Springfield warehouse
Post by: John P on August 16, 2011, 09:58:31 AM
http://www.myspringfield.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12656#p12656 It looks like Paul Davis Restorations will be moving into a warehouse at 2111 liberty street. I dont think any others are occupied this is a good sign.

This is the one recently redone and once planned as live - work.  A great building and this will be a good use for it.

There actually are a decent number of businesses in the warehouse district.  It is true that several have gone in the last few years, but even though many of the buildings are for sale, over 60%  are in use.  Several of the smaller ones are used for shop/ warehouse for real estate rental companies.  One of the largest is a company that services the automotive market.  Habijax is there as well.  A print shop, cabinet shops and small places like Team Recovery are also there.  An electrical supply company and a bumper reconditioning company both have been there for quite a while.  Several business do not deal with the public and so are often not "seen".

Adding a new business here is a great positive for the area.

Great news.  Should be a benefit to the warehouse district.

amen!  i used to do phone book delivery, and got directed to deliver to several buildings in the warehouse district that i thought were abandoned--until someöne answered the door and let me into a well-furnished office.
