Does anyone know if the game is being shown on any local channel? I do not have ESPN.
The game will be on local tv... CBS.
Also re-airing tomorrow at 4pm on NFL Network.
Come on Blane play like you want a QB controversy.
Preseason is always funny to me. It just looks like the two teams are out there praticing. I actually dont even care watch preseason. However, I want to see Blaine and some of our new defense additions in action. Im ready for September 11th!!!!!!!
I'm just happy football is back! 8)

Don't be looking too hard for the new defense tonight. Half of them aren't even making the trip.
As stupid as it sounds, I'm going to be happy just to see a bunch of guys in Jaguars uniforms running around out there. For a while there it looked like we might not be seeing any football before November at the earliest.
Feel free to remind me of this post in a couple of months when I'm bitching and moaning about Garrard or the defensive line or some other thing that's not going the way I want it to. ;)
I am sleepy as heck and dont get off work until six. I need to take a nap. Hopefully Im up atleast by 8:00 to see all the rookies try out :)
Well seen that one coming a mile away... (like really do we EVER beat New England LOL) On a lighter note. Blaine did very good. He panicked a few times, but for him just to be thrown out there, he exceeded my expectations. The other defensive starters were very impressive, especially sessions. He was a beast. As far as the no name rookies, they all should committ a mass suicide in the St Johns river. Im sure 90% of the rookies that played to night will not make the roster.
Hard to tell much since alot of starters didn't play. I thought Gabbert looked solid.
The defense actually pretty good in the first quarter till they pulled the starters. We had at least two starters on the dense that didn't play and three starters on offense. I have some optimism but looks like they are still having trouble scoring TD's when in the red zone.
Yeah but then again, just about all of our offense starters were out to. So the offense was hard to judge. But yes our defensive in the first quarter were a killer IMO. Cline Session is like a wild animal out there and thats the kind of aggresive play we need on our D-line.
PS Dejay Karim is my new hero! Another 80+ yard punt return!
I like what I saw from Dawan Landry at SS. He looked alot like Donovan Darius out there.
Gabbert made some really good throws. Mike Thomas needs to catch the ball. The over-throws are typical of someone with happy feet and not commiting to the pass - erring on the side of caution and letting it float instead of zipping it in there. I didn't like 2 of the 3 sacks he took because it seemed that he was trying to pass instead of run - one of his criticisms coming in - and I felt he was trying to disprove the general concensus of him running rather than passing. The sack I don't blame Gabbart for was because of a completely missed block by the new center - Spitz (local guy by the way)
The defense was great on the run, but there were way to many mis-communication in coverage for me to feel completely comfortable with it. It's just the first preseason game, so I'm not putting a lot of stock in it. I'll watch some more replays as the week goes on and give everyone my un-asked-for opinion.
I like what I saw from the defensive starters and Im excited to see what this defense will look like when it's fully assembled. There was no Knighton, Cox or Kampman in the New England game PLUS we signed Matt Roth that day. I think the defense could be great with all of those guys on the field. Even without them, there were 3 forced fumbles in that first half!
^^yeah the first half was awesome! Thats acutally all I wanted to see. It got me hype for Sept 11th. On a side note, the Patriots have beat up on the Bucs tonight 31-14. Damn Pats! When will they ever stop! LOL
