I am organizing a meeting for 200-300 people in downtown Jacksonville to take place on a Sunday-Wednesday.
Could anyone share their suggestions please?

A meeting of that size should be able to fit at the Omni....but also try the Hyatt....both should give you complimentary meeting rooms based on the amount you spend on food
The downtown library also has a really great meeting room with projectors and a stage. There is a kitchen for caterers too.

There are some wonderful historic churches in downtown with meeting rooms. Try the St. Johns Episcopal cathedral and the First Presbyterian church on Monroe Street. Bethel Baptist has expanded their space or try the Immaculate Conception church on Duval Street.
And there is a large space over what used to be Southend Brewery at the Landing. It was used as meeting space / night club etc. so it has a sound system, a bar and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the St. Johns.
It may be a little cramped for a full 200, but it's been so long since I've been up there. I don't know who you would contact at the landing, but IMO it may be worth checking out.
Actually you could pick any building in our downtown...most have lots and lots of space not being used...
My son's first birthday was there.
I also used to bartend there during First Friday's - an event for young, black professionals and met several really big names there. You always had jags players, but it was special to see Samuel L., Laurence Fishburne, Chris Rock, Vivica Fox & Halle Berry to name a few and without their 'celebrity' in effect.

is this a one time meeting...or are you suggesting that it will be from Sunday through Wednesday
if just a one time deal, the library is a great choice...MOCA has an theater/auditorium spacebut I think it is less than 200.
if you are thinking several days, you really need to look at the hotels
The library has meeting rooms and a theatre downstairs. If they are not booked, they'd probably accommodate a multi-day event. The Civic Auditorium has a small theatre. The Prime Osborn Convention Center.
Call Sarita at Parmenter Realty Partners, 791-9797. Aramark opened a cafe on the 42nd Floor of the Bank of America Tower a couple of years ago. I seem to remember they made the 41st floor into a Conference Center. My memory could be completely faulty, and I could be completely wrong, but a phone call is free.

That's Skyline Cafe and they do rent out in the evening for private parties(VERY reasonable). It isn't the largest of venues, so it depends on how many people your event is going to have. But Ryan Vanek is your guy at Skyline... 791-9533
The Carling, a boutique apartment complex, has event space available. It's 31 W Adams St, maybe check them out.

What about 927 Events on Forsythe? Very fucky vibe. Has up/down space. Their website is www.927events.com
May depend on your event but for something a little different this might work.
