DOES ANYBODY KNOW A PLACE TO FIND A CHICKEN AND WAFFLE PLATE?
Metro Diner in San Marco has them.
How long did Chunky Chef last?
I believe that Blue Fish in Avondale also has chicken and waffles... I also know that VIP Lounge (The former Red Lobster on Arlington Expy) has chicken and waffles...
Metro Diner has solid CnW. I don't recall the name of the place, but there is a chicken and waffle billboard over by Everbank Field too. I am not in town to refresh my memory. We are spending the summer in Brooklyn as we speak. If you are ever in the BK, you should visit Pies and Thighs in Williamsburg. Good chicken and waffles...better donuts!
IHOP has been advertising them on tv ;D
I've only ever had em at Metro Diner, so I have no reference for comparison, but I think they are amazing there.
IHOP has chicken STRIPS and waffles. That doesnt count. LOL

I think that billboard is for City Hall Pub next to the arena.
Don't use a credit card at Metro Diner. I have had my information stolen there twice.
^One bad seed, perhaps? I've used a credit card there literally dozens of times and have never had any problems.
Metro Diner's chicken & waffles are amazing - however, be advised that it's not as traditional as you might expect - it's a spectacle of taste, portion, & presentation. I believe that City Kidz in Springfield has or had c&w as well.

No, it's a widespread problem at Metro Diner. Many people have had their info stolen there.

Yeah, but your average WalMart gets 10,000 visitors a day, just on the law of averages you kind of exepct X% of that stuff to happen there. The deal with Metro Diner is different, it's a small restaurant with like 10 employees, yet I must know a dozen people who've had their credit card information stolen there, not including the other people who posted in the thread I linked who all had the same experience. I'm afraid those are two birds of a different feather.
Then there's the issue of WalMart accepting responsibility and reporting it to the police, which led to arrest of the perpetrators. When two different victims of ID theft at Metro Diner (one of them being me) separately tried to call the owner to explain what he had going on at his establishment, the response was implying the customer is a liar and hanging up the phone. Meaning he's either in on it, or he just doesn't care. Again, birds of a different feather.

The billboard was for Skylines, which is off Norwood. CHP does not serve chicken and waffles. The best I found in town were at City Kidz, but they no longer serve it. Metro's is not a traditional verison of the dish by any means.

I love that we're discussing Chicken and Waffles like it's a foie gras or something...
I really like Metro Diners Chicken and Waffles and I don't even like chicken!
Delish!!!
Just an update - IHOP of all places now has Chicken & Waffles (at least at limited times). BTW, Is Metro Diner now considered a "Chain"?
Well, a third is opening, so I guess they're headed there. How's the one out in Mandarin doing? I visit the Fresh Market out there about once a week at various times from breakfast to lunch and it seems pretty dead.
I'm not gonna pretend like I'm some national aficionado on everything Chicken & Waffles, but I tried out Skyline Chicken & Waffles (chicken & waffles meal) inside the Avenues food court, and it's really good. They also have a location in the Norwood Plaza across from Gateway.

My wife brought home for me a chicken and waffle frozen dinner the other day. I'm not saying it was anything special, but it was funny to see it in a frozen dinner.
Fun to sit at 'the bar' at Roosevelt Metro Diner, watch the Process. I vividly recall the first plate of Chicken & Waffles plate I ever saw headed for Table......what the dang??!!.....that was something else.
