The slab scab on the corner of 9th and Hubbard is now gone. Neighbors bought the SRG lot which had the abandoned slab on it, are in the process of knocking it down, and will put in a garden.
Whoot! Whoot!
...now if we could just do something about the other 11 slabs.
And the SPAR building while we're at it!
that is several kinds ov awesome!

Hey, hey Timkin. Watch out. I'm a SPAR member. Don't throw the babies out with the bathwater.

That's a lot of seriously polluted bathwater. I'd get my hazmat and diving certifications up-to-date...

That's the best thing I've heard all day - thanks for sharing!

The slab is gone, they park on the dirt, but it is fenced in with aluminum fencing. More progress ahead I'm sure for the lot. A lot loved is a good lot.
Funny and strange PS to this story.
Apparently, someone called these folks and complained about their beautiful fence.
They thought it was me! Told Johannes it was me!!
For the record...I really don't care that much about fences, have never called anyone to complain about their fence, and mostly just love what these guys are doing with this corner.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
PM me and we can talk if you'd like. I don't have your name or your phone number, btw.
I see SPAR's strategy is evolving. Not only are we going to call in complaints on our neighbors, we'll actually blame the complaints on other random people we don't like.
