Just a short walk from the heart of downtown in Springfield, the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum is a part of the world's largest private holding of important original manuscripts   documents.

I don't know, but it would be beneficial for both Downtown and Springfield to combine their assests and amenities by working together to bridge the non pedestrian friendly gap between the two.  Hogans Creek and the Manuscript Museum would become important anchor elements for such an endeavor.

I feel ashamed to say, that I've lived in Springfield for over 10 years and have yet to go inside this place. Although we used to take our classes to the Sprinkles museum downstairs, which has since closed.
