Post by: tufsu1 on May 12, 2011, 04:37:37 PM
The National Journal runs an interesting blog on transportation issues...the pool of folks who usually respond to these questions are some of the leading transportation experts around the country.

This one is particularly interesting

Good read.

IMO, all Jax needs are some key interchange upgrades within the highway system and more connecting surface roads to enhance the grid within the beltway.

Outside of that, TRANSIT!!!!

Anticipated development has been a key element in highway 'planning'.

This perfectly profiled in recent publically logged history with the First Coast Beltway-key landowners being the primary driver.
Promotions of "Traffic Alleviation" have been forced to morph to "Economic Development".

Imagine a new facility built as stand alone without new development vesting.
