Title: Jacksonville's Demonym
Post by: CMG22 on May 10, 2011, 07:19:15 PM
I hate to bring up an old topic, because I feel like it's been discussed here before (a search didn't yield any results).  What is the correct thing to call a resident of Jacksonville?  A Jacksonvillian, which I think sounds ridiculous, or a Jaxon?

Thoughts?  Perhaps historical evidence of the word's first use?

It's Jacksonvillian. IMO nothing else seems right...

You'll frequently find JAXON referenced throughout the forum.

I vote for Jagoffs. I'm already one in spirit, so why not make it official.
