I assume you saw this on the Ed Schultz show since I just had this conversation with Rodney Hurst on FB too. Give Nashville time - it's only been five days. Nashville is quite a bit different politically than you might think. Certainly there are artists who are openly fans of the President, and Brad Paisley had a hit song in '09 that spoke positively about his being elected. I think someone will record a song on the subject and give credit to the President. Maybe I'm completely mistaken about the music I primarily listen to, but I do follow the trends, and the posturing of one or two artists do not define the entire Nashville community.

Nashville and Jacksonville are very similar politically. Most musicians in Nashville are progressive thinkers, but there are notable exceptions.
