Wal-Mart believes in a philosophy of operating globally and giving back locally.  They make the greatest impact on communities by supporting causes that are important to customers and associates right in their own neighborhoods.  Wal-Mart has given more then $245 million to charity last year! Wal-Mart is proud to have been named by the Chronicle of Philanthropy as the largest corporate cash donor in America.  If you need money for your charity then reach out to Wal-Mart!

In FY 2006, Wal-Mart is projected to spend roughly $4.7 billion on associates benefits.  For perspective, Wal-Mart's net income for FY 2005 was $10.3 billion.

And their net sales were roughly $350 Billion. So 1.3% of their operating cost is employee benefits.
