Title: Fire in St Johns County off US1
Post by: copperfiend on April 27, 2011, 03:43:46 PM
I can see huge plumes of smoke south of St Augustine Road in the last few minutes. FCN says it is a signifigant fire in woods. US1 closed in both directions.

I'm about 3 miles north of the fire...pretty much not possible to go outside the smoke is so thick.

We are so dry that I'm considering sacrificing a weatherman to the gods of rain. Especially one that keeps raving on about Chamber of Commerce weather.
