Miss Maggie for the last year has talked to me about 3 things. Her family, sweet potatoe pies, and porch rails.
Today, she got her porch rails:
(Gloria, insert picture here please.)
Cody, from Glory Homes, was hired to build the rails (he did Oscar's.) I'm pretty tuckered out from vacant lot fences and other projects in the hood, so Cody was/is a blessing. At the end of the day he was handed cash and he REFUSED to take it, that Miss Maggie was such a lovely person and that he wanted to donate his time. I even argued with him about it, still refused.
Smile. How absolutely sweet is that. Thank you Cody. You made Miss Maggie very happy!!

and there you have it.
Miss Maggie's disabled son Haywood agreed to caulk and paint the rails. I will deliver him what he needs next week! Yipee!
