I'm looking for a community pool to join to keep my two boys entertained over the summer. Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks!
In riverside, the pool at Lee High School is open during the summer.
You also have pool facilities that require memberships at Church of the Good Shepherd off Stockton and the YMCA off Riverside Avenue.
As a kid, we swam in the community pool near Pine Forest 5th and 6th grade center. Pretty sure it's still there.

The COJ website lists some other community centers that may have pools, though I'm not sure about their hours.... UNF has a fantastic pool, and the last time I was out there (a couple years ago?) it was only five bucks to get in.
Is the Lee HS pool going to remain. I've heard some folks with the city saying it’s going to be rebuilt elsewhere due to campus land constraints and others say they are going to repair it and keep it operating right where it is. I drove by there today and it had been drained. I'm curious as to what is happening there.
If Springfield doesn't scare you, the Kennedy Community Center on 1st/Ionia. Pretty sure it is free. It's part of Jax Parks and Rec.
Bayview Road in LakeShore east of Blanding immediately south of the Lake Shore middle school campus.

The city is replacing all of the drains after an emergency recall.
Actually, the City was wrong about that, danno. Their pools weren't affected by the recall. I believe all City pools will open for the summer tomorrow.

Jimmy is correct. The City delayed opening public pools to allow time for inspection but found that drains were safe. Pools will open this weekend.
