Title: I'm with Audrey?
Post by: PeeJayEss on March 07, 2011, 02:41:29 PM
Her signs rarely have her full name. Just "I'm with Audrey." Any chance of her losing the votes of dumb people that may be looking for the last name Audrey on the ballot? Sadly for human beings, it seems like a real possibility.

Didn't hurt the "Jeb!" campaign.

Her name does look like her. The shape of her hair and head is similar to the head of the 'A' letter, and with the attitude of the slogan promotes and parallel the positive energy of Audrey herself.

This is all from my graphic design standpoint. At the same time, I do agree that it could be an issue if there isn't any place for her last name, Moran to be on the sign visibly.

HAHAHA that is a good point. There are people out there who would do that!

Since there is no one else running for Mayor with Audrey in the name, I would hope it would be simple to find. However, if a voter can't choose the correct person without the last name, that voter might have bigger things to worry about.

Case in point: One of the most famous campaign slogans ever: "I Like IKE".

I saw a lot of signs for Fred for one of the commissioner seats, but I figured out which one was "Fred" on the ballot pretty quickly.

The populace that votes for Audrey should have no problems figuring it out.

Not to sound condescending, but only since we have dealt with this before: the population that will have some problems will be the congregations of both the black Baptist churches and possibly the FBC whose pastors may tell them who to vote for.  Remember that church or group of churches in Jacksonville during the 2000 election that were told to "vote for the second guy" because the pastors thought it might be Gore and it turned out to be Bush!  LoL all of those poor people demanded a revote, but they didn't realize that they opening their mouths got their pastors in trouble and possibly themselves!

In this particular election, I hope that all of Hogan's idiot voters get confused and accidentally vote for Moran.  Oh the irony, I would laugh so hard!

Maybe we should hope for a butterfly ballot! Hanging chads, anyone?

She definitely has the face of someone named Audry, I sure hope she wins.
