I'm a freelance illustrator and am working on getting a comic book published this year. I haven't been involved in the local "comics scene" in awhile - is there a local scene? Are there other cartoonists, etc? I know of a couple comic shops in town, but I really only visit Universe of Super Heroes, and that's once every couple months (if that).
Just wanting to network a little and maybe meet some like-minded people. Anyplace in town I might be able to find some cool independent comics (not really into the mainstream stuff so much)?
