Post by: fieldafm on February 28, 2011, 11:02:59 AM
Come on out, I'll buy your first beer...

The locally owned Bold City Brewery is opening the bar just for our fans to enjoy some their locally brewed beer. $1 per beer will be donated to St. Johns RIVERKEEPER. See you there!

Will we be allowed to talk about the true scope of "Everglades Style" river advocacy- restoration of the River's largest tributary-the Ocklawaha, and the need for Rodman Dam & Pool removal ??

This subject has been a missing element under an agreed "Big Tent" approach.Maybe Beer is the answer.

If it is at all possible, I'm going to try and make it there.  I may have to just show up from 6-6:30

I'm going from 6-7pm so that I can swing over to Art Walk afterwards.
First beer is on me if you go...

I will discuss with anyone willing to listen my views on public river access(specifically throughout the urban neighborhoods), designation of blueways, the Hogans Creek Greenbelt, the Bay St Pier Park, getting JEA 100% reliant on reclaimed water, water conservation measures that should be enacted throughout the city and electing leaders this March that are dedicated to river advocacy.

Fieldafm's views on the river and cold 1901 as fresh as the day is long... no better way to spend a Wednesday evening!

Field, I think your schedule may be off. The Riverkeeper event is the 1st (Tuesday), Artwalk is the 2nd (Wednesday).

This is according to the blurb you posted at the top of the thread.

It is in fact Tuesday, March 1st... I am just an idiot with the Art Walk comment.
See you all tomorrow!

Sorry, nothing to do with the riverkeeper, but you should get some milk-stout before it's gone.
