What, no Underground? No CNN Center? No Federal Prison? No Six Flags? Not even an Aquarium picture or world of Coke...???
To be blunt, the places you mention are either unsafe, ghetto, tourist places, or not very photogenic. I have CNN Center from 73 floors up. I also have Six Flags photos (including an old video riding the 200+ ft Goliath). I've been to World of Coke a few times (I prefer the intimacy and 80s-ness of the old location, but there isn't anything to photograph at the new location), the Acquarium (new exhibit just opened, so the place will be crowded right now), and right now the High is on my priority list as it is less crowded, more architecturally noteworthy, and is across the street from where I live.
I do take requests seriously, so I'll try to honor a few or your requests soon. The pics below are a request, and it was convenient for me anyway as I do Sunday afternoon church.
Here are some churches in Atlanta (Part 1) by special request. First I will focus on the Jesus Corner (not meant in a derogatory way, it’s a nickname for the two block stretch of churches in Buckhead).

First, here is Second Ponce De Leon Avenue Baptist Church, a 1930s structure.

The second church is Cathedral of Christ the King, the Catholic Cathedral here in Atlanta and seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta. The cornerstone was laid in 1937. The architecture is French Gothic, and the 4 acre site also includes Christ the King Catholic school.

The final church in the immediate area (of significance, there are others that aren’t exactly ugly or puny) is St. Phillip’s Episcopal Cathedral. This is the church I go to most and I just happened to catch a 4:00 Choral Evensong followed by a 5:00 Eucharist. The cathedral is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta (yes, the Catholics and the Episcopalians are structurally very similar in almost every way…). The offices, Gould Parish Hall, and admin buildings were completed in the 1940s and 1950s. The actual cathedral was completed in 1962 and consecrated in 1980.

View from the front of the church looking down Peachtree. This is pretty much the same view cars have, as Peachtree is pointed downhill and Midtown/Downtown are on a distant hill. The night view is spectacular and it’s like the skyline, which is 5-6 miles away, is right in front of your face.

It's too bad Atlanta's architecture is so bland. When you're stuck in Atlanta's mindnumbing, choking traffic, at least you'd have something interesting to look at.
Since we have a thread for Atlanta pics, I thought I would add a few from a birds eye veiw. These were taken a few weeks ago from one of those bi-plane rides out of PD airport. It was a little windy which was a fun time, in a roller coaster kinda way.

that last string of photos was wonderful.
All of them are wonderful .. Particularly love the interior shots of the Churches and all of the stained glass....stunning !!!
