This is great! Good to see JTA planning for high speed rail. If all goes well, we'll be the first in FL to have high speed rail and second with real mass transit.

I just don't see the need for BRT downtown since the streetcars would be downtown. They should just go to the transportation center and people should make a transfer.

Atlanta-Jacksonville HSR connection is an interesting idea, if its done right I would say it could be a good connection.

11 stations... come on, 4, 6 tops, not 11. Thats the problem with US HSR plans, we cant have HSR with 11 stops. As soon as it gets up to 150+ MPH it will have to slow down for the next station.

That is an old study. There is a new one that is just now getting under way. That is the one JTA was referring to. The new study will be true high speed rail. It should be completed by this time next year.
