I noticed there are signs up reporting construction starting on jan 31 from the light at FCCJ on 17 to the light at St. Johns. Does anyone know what's going on out there?

They are replacing and fixing the concrete on Roosevelt. I believe the limits are from Woodmere to I-10.
Surely the FDOT would use a DIFFERENT contractor than the one that has "fixed" I-10 East bound. The bumps at 55 are enough to crack your teeth. Great job FDOT!

I'm pretty sure it is a different contractor.

they aren't finished....first they put in new concrete and it is really rough.....then they "sand" it all down and it gets very smooth

The project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2012.
