I have to agree with Audrey Moran. Democrat, Republican, Independent... left, right, center... she is the absolutely best candidate in the running to be the next Mayor of Jacksonville.
She has my complete and total support. I'm with Audrey.
I may be a registered Democrat, but I'm not a fanatic, nor have I ever believed that I have to follow party lines just because....with that said, she's got my vote
I like her priorities and her enthusiasm and style for addressing them. While no two people will agree on everything, she seems to be projecting the common sense good-for-the-greater community approach that appeals to me. Hope she, or any other mayor, can deliver this platform working with City Council circus, etc. Especially, I would caution, she may have to tweak her plan to "work with JTA" to solve our transportation issues. Not sure JTA is up to the task. ;D
I can't get the video up right now, I'll try again later.
I went to the supervisor of elections office to update my voter registerstration. And, I got a printout of all the offices up for election, here's the list for county offices:
Mayor
Sheriff
Supervisor of Elections
Property Appraiser
Tax Collector
City Council Districts 1 - 14, At Large 1 - 5
I was also given this website fro more info,

It looks like a lot of positions are up for grabs! Let's get it right Jax! get out there and vote!
Well you know I dont care who wins as long as its not the tax collector!
Great video! I'm so excited with the way she has run her campaign and I can't wait to call her Mayor Moran!
I think she should appeal to a broader group of people than the other candidates. I like the way she has experience in business, government, and the non-profit sector. Who can compete with that? ;D
Definitely propelled her to the forefront in my mind, no question. I think she knows a little bit more about why other Southeastern cities remain more attractive to business/professionals than Jax and I think she knows how to make us more competitive. I also could see the passion in her as she spoke. It sounded exactly as she would have practiced to herself, which tells me it's all from the heart.
One thing: she said she would not raise taxes for the sole purpose of supporting our current pension programs. She did not make any promises not to raise taxes, but I'm ok with how she worded it. I'm starting to feel like Jacksonville's taxes are actually too low anyway (the low rates certainly haven't done anything to bring hoards of companies and people here).
I am very much with her and everyone I know is going to give her their vote.
I just wish she had a Facebook page so that I could post it on my profile. She has a personal page and that's it. Rick Mullaney doesn't have anything other than a personal page, too, though. It's 2011 people, come on! I thought Obama was proof that you needed a FB page to win! :)
I've been helping with Audrey's team for many months...she is the only one in the race that can bring everyone in Jacksonville together to make this a better place!
Today she got the chamber of commerce endorsement. They took 3votes and she won every time!! Good news!!!
Loved what was said in the video. Very impressive.
Yes it was. Her campaign and support is growing larger every time people here her. She is the best qualified to move our city forward at long last!!
Yes, she is the real deal. I've had the pleasure of meeting her twice now. The most recent was this morning where she listened to me talk about expanding the skyway and the benefits of a true transit system very carefully. We also talked at length about our education system. Her passion for improvement is genuine. It is not lip service just to win voters.
What impressed me is that she will be everyone's mayor and that she will work for the greater good. She is one of those rare leaders who will bring people together.
The way for her to be elected is simple, IMO. Get her in front of as many people as possible. When they experience the energy, enthusiasm and commitment they will see the difference. It is not that the other candidates are necessarily bad - it is just that she is so far above them.
Her schedule is filling up fast, but if you really believe in helping her win the race, contact her campaign office and find out where she will be next. Bring some friends.
WOW is all I have to say. My other favorites dropped out the race. But from what I just encountered, she may just get my vote! This is a make or break election. We cant make another 8 year mistake
Where can I find out about who's running for city council?
Google supervisor of elections Jacksonville fl and go to the site.. There will be a link for all local candidates.

http://duvalelections.com/electioncandidates.aspx?eid=40 is the best place to look.
That link to "Save as Excel" is especially helpful. You'll have a list of everyone running. Pay special attention to those listed as "QUALIFIED." They're who you'll see on the ballot.
Otherwise, click the names on the page for contact info, websites, etc.
