Went across the street from the Courthouse at noon today on lunch break from jury duty and happened into this place on the corner. Sign in the window said, "Under new management". Looked like typical Jacksonville sandwich shop and was not busy, even at noon.
Ordered the falafel, hummas and tabuli special.
Has to be the best falafel and hummas I've had in Jacksonville. Learned that the owner makes all of this herself and does not use the pre-prepared stuff that is available and commonly used.
The falafel was crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The hummas was creamy and light, not gritty as it can sometimes be.
I will be going back!
Dog Walker, do you remember the name of the restaurant? Price of the special? Thanks
I ate there on jury duty and had the same meal, it was pretty darn good. They appeared to have a good breakfast menu too.
Is it Farah's
It WAS Farah's but it has a different name now - A Real Good Place or something like that.
What's That Downtown IS the name of the restaurant.
Ah ... knew was something ... er ... different ...

Thanks, Charles! Memory isn't what it used to be...(or maybe it is! I don't remember.)
