Lalah has chosen, for the time being, not to advertise her concert here in Jacksonville. So I'm going to do it for her! I love her music that much. I've seen her in concert twice before- in Seattle and at the Jax Jazz Festival in 1995 and both times, it was a spiritual experience. People who arrived not knowing who she was left calling themselves Lalah fans. She does little to promote herself but has a large group of loyal fans, some of whom travel to her shows, and most of us happened upon her by word of mouth or stumbled on her guest work on various jazz CD's. To us, she's the greatest living singer on Earth.. period!
