CAN'T WAIT!!

I've had the chance to sample the People's Pale at both Kickback's and O'brother's.  It's absolutely delicious.  A friend of mine said it was 'scarily smooth'.

Just went by and it was packed. Tons of people, with pizza and beer being consumed in mass quantities.

Wow!  When I pulled up the street I was absolutely amazed at the turn out.  Thank god they planned for it!  Extra parking and a security crew directing cars into parking spots.  Had a couple Pale ales and a couple Reds and headed off to the wine tasting in 5 points.  Congrats to the folks at Intuition!  They have a hit... But I think they already suspected that!

BTW... Great night for sampleing some new beers and then some new wines... great to see 5 points packed like that!

5 Points was packed to the point that most of the wine tables were out by 8:30.  Wonderful crowd, everybody having a great time.  All the neighbors were there.

We all need to thank David Joudi or Riverside Wine and Liquors for conceiving of this event and putting it together every year.  It's a fun time, shows off our neighborhood and is a terrific fund-raiser for a couple of great organizations.

Thanks again, David.  Hope your shoulder gets better soon.

I was there from about 6 pm to close.  When I arrived, the place was packed.  it took us 20 minutes to find anywhere to sit.  The beer and pizza were delicious.  I look forward to making many more trips to Intuition (partially so that my Mug Club membership will be worth the money).

Great new addition to the Riverside area.  Don't forget the original neighborhood brewery, Bold City.

^ They've been open for barely more than two years.  They were created before Intuition, but I wouldn't call them 'The Original' just yet.

Would you call sushi cafe 'The Original' riverside sushi place....? Doubtful, but it does predate Sake House.

I'd hate to see this turned into a competition where beer drinkers are picking sides. Just about everywhere in the country has a diverse market of microbrews... we're just getting started and there's plenty of room for more.

I totally agree Shwaz.  Markets much smaller than Jacksonville support 4-5 microbreweries.  Granted, these are areas like Asheville and Boulder, but Jax can support at least one more brewery.  Bold City and Intuition have taken very different approaches to brewing and building their business.  I think those differences will become more pronounced in the near future.

They're both business' that we can be proud of. They've set the bar pretty high and I hope it only challenges the next round of micros.

Both breweries deserve our patronage and encouragement.

Intuition is going to be open from 10-2 on Sunday for growler and keg fills.  You have to call ahead for a keg fill.

There is actually a plan in Place for a new micro in Jax Beach. I don't have the info in front of me (I have a delicious I-10 IPA in front of me), but I'll dig up my info and add it later.

QuoteYoung Lawyers use Intuition for happy hour

Collegiality was on tap at the Intuition Ale Works brew house Thursday as it hosted the latest happy hour of the Young Lawyers Section of The Jacksonville Bar Association.

Public and private practice attorneys of The JBA were joined by the developing leaders group from NAIOP, an organization of young professionals under the age of 35 involved in commercial real estate development.

“This was the fourth or fifth consecutive event that has been well attended. We had another great turnout Thursday night and everyone there seemed to have an incredible time,” said Christian George, a YLS board of governors member and organizer of the happy hour.

“We hope that our members continue to participate and the YLS board will ensure that future events are just as fun,” said George.

The happy-hour program was developed to provide members with a social environment outside of the courtroom to interact and network with fellow attorneys.

Stockton Attorneys Services sponsored the event. The company provides a wide range of legal services from investigations and process service to e-services. It is operated by Austin Stockton, Billy Catlin and Bryce Hadlow.

The Intuition Ale Works tap room is open 3-11 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and noon-11 p.m. Saturday.

Was @ Amelia Island Plantation over the weekend & it was cool to see the constant stream of People's Pale Ale flowing from the tap at the pool/cabana bar - A strong contingent of Atlantans had taken a liking (+ myself).  Nice having an opportunity to display a little civic pride - keep up the good work!

Was there friday for the tapping of the "White Russian Ale"......

I'm pretty sure with a cask, you load all the flavor towards the end, but to enjoy the coffee/kahlua flavor in a blonde ale - impressive.  I'm a big fan of beer experiments gone right!
