Title: Jaguars Miracle Play
Post by: Keith-N-Jax on November 15, 2010, 07:35:54 AM
Sorry the Hail Mary play deserves a thread of its own. Time to put the Black out thread to rest. I am not sure if this tops the Indy game, but its right up there with it. I have very little voice remaining and wish I could take the day off from work.

1. Tops off for the offense DG played well and the O-line gave him time most of the game.
2. MJD well was MJD.
3. Defense- somebody should tell Mathis to cover his receiver and stop looking in the backfield.
4. Another thriller in the Vault.
5. You guys calling for respect,, are you happy now. Jags all over the internet and on all sport channels.

Keith it was a great game. I had a buddy come over from Tallahassee who grew up a Bucs fan, he was surprised at how much fun it was. The Hail Mary pass was unreal! Go Jags!!!!

Best play ever.  i have zero voice.  i couldn't stop cheering for an hour.  The fans were really loud on the Texans' last offensive drive.  Great game.

I couldnt make it to the game, but I sure did watch it. My phone was blowing up after the play. I had to hang with my friends and calm down. It took me like an hour to settle down. I was a little overly emotional to say the least.  lol

What should the "Jaguars Miracle play" be called? Maybe the "River City Miracle"? Just kidding, everything about that is unoriginal, from copying off the Tits, to the vague "River City" reference.

The Jags official name for it is "Rebound". Of course the play is most commonly known as the "Hail Mary" with the Cowboys, although the ATL Falcons (according the the Sam K. show) ran the play first as "Big Ben".

What a play!! I love how Mike Thomas, the Jags' "smallest player" (Jones-Drew is actually an inch shorter but has MT by 11 pounds), made the biggest play of the game (and possibly the season). A very fitting way to win for this team!

I am very happy with how weve been playing!! Were mixing it up by throwing to different players, have a good mix of the running game and throwing, and that Garrad is starting to run sometimes instead of standing there and getting sacked!! In between Garrad, MDJ, Sims-walker, Mercedes Lewis and Mike Thomas, it seems our offensive is meshing very well. And who can forgot about out boy "pot roast" on defense. I truely believe were are starting to see the real Jags team develop in front of our eye's. All I can is, next season be on the look out........

WHOA!!!!  I almost jumped through my ceiling when they scored!  The team acted as if they won the superbowl.  Man that was an amazing finish to a roller coaster game!

I surely missed Kampman though.  And I really feel bas for Scobee.  Still, goes to show that not turning over the ball and limiting the penalties will pay off dividends with the W.

Yea I was really sad when Scobee missed. I hope this doesn't shake his confidence. That long TD by ZM was also great.

The Texans seem to have no answer for our tight ends as was the case last year.  Their safeties and LBs all struggle in coverage.  Garrard had an automatic 6 or more yard completion in the flat to Lewis or Miller seemingly anytime he wanted it.

I was SHOCKED he missed, but he's still got to be #1 in the NFL, and you know he puts 100% in every play.

As for the game in general, amazing! What's more amazing is seeing the jags (in a positive light) all over the news!

GO JAGS!

I'm not worried about Scobee, far as I'm concerned he can afford a miss or two; Now had the Jags lost that game because of him shanking that "Joe Blow at the 17th island green-like kick"...... :-\ ;)

Considering we've recently scored more points because of Scobee, I think he's allowed a foul-up now and then.
And half the city's probably forgotten that he missed anyway.

I like "Christmas in November" or "Bat Down at the Bank"

FYI- we all over youtube!! This has been a very crazy year. definately something to look back on. It feels good to go down in the books for something good, after all the negativity last season. I feel that the man upstairs is really looking out for us. We deserve it after all the unfair scrunity we received last year. As the old folk would say, "God dont like ugly."
