Title: JHPC Condemned Properties Committee Meeting on Mothballing
Post by: iloveionia on November 10, 2010, 08:20:32 PM
From one of the SOS members who attended the meeting:

I think tonight was a big step forward to prevent more senseless destruction of historic properties in Springfield. We are not "there yet", but we are on the right way. The city is drafting mothballing legislation and asked SPAR, RAP ad SOS for their input tonight. Thanks for everybody (Brenda, Chris, Gloria, Joan, Joe and others... ) to show your support for this initiative. There are still a lot of details to be worked out, but I think we are heading in the right direction. I am attaching the draft plan that Preservation SOS presented at the meeting.

Thanks moved!  You are so good at this --

It is a great starting point.  We still have much to discuss, as a neighborhood, and many ideas to work through.  But, I am proud of what has been accomplished to date.  We are looking through fresh eyes and that is always helpful.  We are also looking through fresh hearts, and that can only guide us to a positive path from here forward.
