I was so sad that the Folio had chain restaurants winning "Best of" when we have better locally owned options in Jax.

Taverna (possibly the best food I've ever had in JAX)
Blue Fish (their brunch is excellent and the service is always stellar.)
Orsay goes without saying.
La Nopalera in San Marco.. come on.. don't laugh.. you know you love it.
AIX
13 Gypsies (if you can get a reservation.)
Other than that... Jax is blessed with great BBQ places. I gauge a city by their bbq places.
I wish we had more real great REAL Latin places. I'm in heaven in Miami. My fav is "Cha Cha Cha" on 15th near Alton road there. Oh man. Suggestions?

Seriously?
Unfortunately, I think he is serious. His other posts would indicate that that is the case.
Where is North Beach Bistro. I've never heard of it.
I would have to nominate Kickbacks for the simple fact that I can still eat real food while staggering drunk @ 3 am.
^ I second that. With over 80 beers on tap, and within walking distance to my house, the food wouldn't even have to be that good (I do think it is good though) for me to list it as a favorite.
