If you think reducing dependence on foreign oil, saving on fuel costs, improving air quality and creating new clean energy jobs are good ideas, visit the North Florida Clean Cities Coalition at RAM Oct. 16. The Coalition, formed by the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, is working to expand the use of alternative fuels and vehicles through education and developing partnerships to seek grants.
Coalition members will be at RAM with a solar car, propane van, compressed natural gas (CNG) car, flex fuel truck and propane-powered lawn equipment. You can also learn how eating fried foods is good for the environment, national security and taxpayers’ wallets at the biofuels exhibit.
lots of great events at RAM this weekend....there will also be German beer and a celebration of Riverside-Avondale being named a Great Neighborhood....the Mayor will even be there around 2:30pm
Riverside Avondale peeps: Consider this your invitation to a celebratory gathering at the RAP booth at RAM at 2 pm. We'll enjoy a (super cool) cake and free beer before joining the Mayor's press event on the River Stage at 2:30. Anyone who has EVER done something good for this neighborhood shares in this Great Neighborhood award and needs to be there to share the glory. The RAP booth will be in a new spot---behind the information building and to the right of the stage. See you under the bridge!
